ABOUT US
Shawn Alee McAtee’s Family Child Care Home is a home-based Child Care service located in Garfield Heights. We are registered and accredited with the Department of Human Services in Pennsylvania.
The program serves pre-kindergarten children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old, following the Pennsylvania Family Child Care guidelines.
Our services are provided from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday-Friday, some holidays, and vacation periods excluded.
Our focus is on providing a program with a variety of learning and playtime activities that ensure the children in our care will develop successfully academically, intellectually, and emotionally.
Ms. Shawn Alee McAtee is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Family Child Care Home.

ABOUT MS. MCATEE
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ms. McAtee is a recognized leader in the adult and youth education communities, particularly the non-profit sector.
She began her career in workforce development over 20 years ago as an Instructor for Community College of Allegheny County and has steadily increased her knowledge and experience in customized job search and training, as well as coordinating youth and family services. Her most recent position has been as the Director of the Career Center and the Family Enrichment Program for The Salvation Army in the Homewood-Brushton section of Pittsburgh.
Ms. McAtee has coordinated and directed all aspects of educating the community. She has successfully assisted many people and organizations in discovering a supreme balance of self-directed and instructor-led training and organization, as well as post-placement and support in a variety of family situations.
As our motto suggests, Ms. McAtee thrives on assisting low-income families and workers to discover their true potential and success. Ms. McAtee measures herself not just by financial gains, but by the growth and development of the children and families she serves.
